General inspection
- distress/ tachypnea/ retraction
- cyanosis
- pallor, or diaphoresis
- edema
- dysmorphic features
- clubbing
⇒ chest inspection + good exposure
- scars, deformity
- visible pulsation
Palpation
- commenting on normal pulse rhythm [radial or brachial]
- performing femoral pulse palpation [one side]
